Before I say anything further, I want to mention something else now. I finished my degree in March 2010 and since den I am very free.. though I was busy with marriage and house… I was still free cos I had no exams, no assignments, no research.. thus I was telling my friend Juli that I am very bored at home sometimes as I am not studying and miss being a student. She gave a great idea… and that’s my new project. How to make my green room beautiful?

 So here it goes… I want certain things to be in room. Like a swing or a bean bag, I want the beads curtain. I want a storage cabinet to storage my barang barang. I want lots of cushions. I want this room to colourful with, pink, purple and turquoise. Since I know what I want in my room, now I have to find the stuff.. the suitable stuff and buy. Before buying, I want to see how others have decorated their rooms and how they have used these colours in their room. With the World Wide Web, I am sure I can do it with very much ease.

OK..now what shall I blog about. Oh! Today is my dad’s birthday. Let me sing b’day song for him. Happy birthday to you.. Happy birthday to you.. Happy birthday to daddy.. Happy birthday to you… May Allah give you good health.. He is 62 years old now. Hes still a very active person. So proud of him. Anyway we might be going for dinner tonight to celebrate his b’day.

Latiff went for LASIK. He is so happy. He is damn damn happy. He is so happy that he doesn’t have to look for his spec every morning when he wakes up. He doesn’t have to take out his spec before going to bath. He can play pool without any problem. He can wear shades now. He is so happy.. and I am so happy seeing him so happy.. J

Oh.. How can I forget this?? We bought a pond with waterfall. We put it in his room. Latiff bought some goldfish too.. It’s so nice and beautiful. So nice to hear the sound of the waterfall. It’s like you are in the nature reservoir.

You know I always want to decorate a Christmas tree. When I was in sec school, I used to tell my friend Steph to call me to her house when they start to deco their tree. But she never called me so far.. so sad ah?? But finally, this year I decorated a Christmas tree, the best part is my own Christmas tree. Yes, I have a small Christmas tree in my house. Just beside the pond. I am happy.. my 15 years “aasai” came true this year.

Both my sisters are pregnant. So happy.. My elder sister having twins. Isn’t great?? It’s natural one, not due to any IVP.. My younger one having boy… both my sisters having perfect family…

Applied for house thru Half-yearly sales. It was our 1^st attempt.
Q# 2000+. Was invited to select a flat, however there were only 2 or 3 flats left and we were not eligible for it too due to ethic group.

1^st Oct 2009
Our 2^nd attempt to buy a house. HDB changed all their schemes and now they call it Balance Sales Flat. We were also told to select the area that we want. We selected Hougang. The main reason is b’cos, Hougang had more flats for Indians. So we assumed that we will have higher chance. And it’s true…..

30^th Nov 2009
I was out with Juli. We went to Orchard for shopping and had our lunch at Lucky Plaza.
I was trying to call HDB hotline to hear my q number. However, the line was very busy.
Finally at about 6pm I managed to get thru and heard my q number. It was ONE
I was like.. did I heard it correctly..?? I ask Juli to listen too.. Yes, I was right.. My q number was ONE.

4^th Jan 2010
Around mid-Dec I received a letter from HDB. Calling us for our 1st appointment. On this day, we are suppose to select the flat and pay deposit $2000. So before the appointment, we shortlisted few flats based on the photos that was available in HDB website. After that we went down to the place to see the evironment of those flats that we shortlisted. Finally we fixed Lor Ah Soo house. It was love at 1st sight for Latiff.

On 4th Jan 2010
Both of us took leave and went to HDB to book the flat and pay $2000 and we return home as a proud owner of a
4-room flat

9th – 10th  Jan 2010

22^nd Feb 2010
Few weeks after our 1st appointment we received another letter. Inviting us for 2nd appointment. This time around is to collect the keys… however we changed the date to 22nd March. We wanted to delay a bit, so that we will have enough time to do small reno and do our ROM in our house on 28th May.

Again we took leave and went to HDB. Collected the key… our house KEY..:)
After that went to ROMM office to register for ROMM…however, the registration was closed and was advised to do it online.
After that we all went to see the house..It’s huge…106sqm.. We were all very happy…

Few days later when he was on MC I took time off and went lor ah soo to see the house.
Wow the house was very nice and huge…was so happy…
He already invited his friends to the house to watch football finals…

Now waiting for the 2nd appointment.. Where I will be given the key…THE KEY to MY house…:) after that I have abt 3 months to submit the marriage certificate. I will do my rom in my house

Now the planning period is quite fun. I didn’t expect him to be so involve in house decor… But he surprised me by getting so much involved in this. He everyday see the YouTube videos on house painting, house makeover… He have all kind of crazy ideas..all I need to do is sit back and relax and approve his ideas… hhehehehe

On 1st Oct morning at about 8plus I received a sms from my friend. It was a forwarded sms from HDB. It says that there are flats avaiable and ppl can buy. So immediately i applied for it. This is a new scheme combining half yearly and quarterly sales. They didnt mention any specific date, but just mentioned that the q# will be out in Nov.

So I waited for Nov. And Nov came and day passed by…On 30th Nov, I checked in HDB website for any news, there wasn’t any news about it. So out of curiousity, I called up HDB to check. The lady who answered my call said that I can check my q# after 4pm. It was 1pm wen I call HDB. I was so damn exicted… and couldn’t wait to get my q#. I was out with Juli that day. At 4pm i called HDB to check Q#. Unfortunatly, the  line was very busy, I guess everyone calling to check the their q# too. I called every 10 to 15mins to check. But end up getting disappointed.

Then at about 5pm, when i called, i was managed get thru and i heard my q# is 0001. I was like… WHAT???? I listened to it again to make sure i heard it correctly. I let Juli to hear too, just to make double, triple sure that my number is really 1. And yes… it is 1. I got number 1. OMG i cuoldnt believe myself… wat more can i ask for?? OMG  its the ultimate…i was damn damn happy… i called my bf and told him and called my parents to tell dem too… everyone were so damn happy for me.. even now… i couldnt believe it and cant stop thinking about it… i couldnt sleep after tat.. as i am thinking abt the house..,how to renovate it, what color, wat furniture…etc… I AM EXCITED! I AM DAMN DAMN EXCITED!!!!

Tomorrow i gonna watch 2012 with my darling. I saw one video about this 2012 thinggy.. was quite interesting.. if you all got time..watch it too..http://the2012deception.net/

Juli and I taking leave on Monday..we are still planning how to spend the day..however we have few thigns in mind.. but havent really decided…

I love year end… lots of public holidays and uni holiday… tat means less students… tat means less activites… tat means less work…tat also means less noisy..i love Nov & Dec.

This year, my sis coming to Singapore with her family…tat adds to my joy…:)
Its gonna be family reunion..hey!…. its always fun wen we 3 sisters get together..
This time I should take lot more photos with my sisters.

Then…. nothing much to say… I think my next post gonna take weeks probably months.. so till den… take care…have a great time..
